Our topic for September: Trends in Training Performance-based Measurement: A Policy Analyst’s Perspective …

In a resource constrained environment, organizations must identify key competency gaps among workers in mission critical occupations and direct training funds to areas with highest impact to their customers and mission. They then must demonstrate the value gained from their training investments to justify current and future funding. How do human capital leaders better align their programs with their organization’s overall goals and objectives to show a direct, measurable contribution?

The answer has two sides or perspectives regarding performance-based measurement for training service delivery. First, developing talent is part of a talent management service delivery model. Are you providing that service efficiently and effectively – your internal perspective? Are your customers satisfied? How do you know? Second, is your training program advancing senior leaders’ strategic goals – the external perspective? Did it provide real value from your CFO’s perspective? Our interactive session will focus on answers to these questions via the right approach or methodology combined with the right performance-based measurements.

Dr. Ken Reynolds is an experienced, innovative, applied microeconomist collaborating with C-Suite, intermediate, and local leadership levels to measure organizational, program, and individual performance against, defined, mission aligned, strategic goals, and business outcomes. Dr. Reynolds has over 20 years of professional experience as a performance-based measurement consultant and technical leader for the RAND Corporation and SRA International using economic and statistical analyses combined with applied econometrics (descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics). Currently Dr. Reynolds is Founder and Chief Economist at BAM Analytics and is a former Adjunct Professor of Economics at George Mason University where he taught defense economics and applied graduate and undergraduate econometrics.

Complimentary coffee and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
