Dr. Frances Ashley-Dennison is presently residing in Fayetteville, North Carolina, home to Fort Bragg, and was raised as an Air Force brat. However, I consider Dover, NH to be my home because I graduated from high school there, as well as obtained my Associate of Arts Degree at McIntosh College in Business Management. I obtained my Bachelors of Science degree from Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Masters of Science from Troy University in Fayetteville, NC, Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN (online), Doctor of Business Administration (ABD) from Walden University (online), as well as a Post-Doctorate Re-specialization Certificate in Social Psychology.
Dissertation Title: An investigation of learning styles in both the online and face-to-face learning environments at a small private university.
I possess civil service experience working for the federal government to include the VA, SSA, USDA, and the Department of the Air Force. I am also a former Naval Reservist, and miss my weekend drills immensely! I have taught face-to-face at the high school level in Fayetteville, North Carolina and at the undergraduate college level at Mt. Olive College in Mt. Olive, NC. In addition, I have taught online at Ashford University and University of Rockies for the past three years. I have home schooled my children for the past 9 years, and have savored every minute of it. I love teaching and the fields of psychology and business management.
In my free time, I am an avid athlete (19 years and still going) and spend a vast amount of time long distance running and cycling; in fact, I run or cycle daily and currently have approximately 27,000 miles on my feet. I have to confess that I now have cycling fever! When time permits, I engage in crochet mania and make anything from an American Flag afghan to a potted plant and Hello Kitty!
