Measuring Impact Panelists

Frank Venuto has served as a Chief Human Resources Executive for over 20 years and has successfully transformed the HR function into a strategic business partner and elevated HR’s influence at the executive table. He has a proven track record of leading large scale HR transformational strategies in complex, multi-facility healthcare environments as well as elevating the performance of the HR function in community-based hospitals. His experiences include leading the HR function in a financial turnaround situation, acquisition of a competitor hospital, and the implementation of an HR Shared Services model. Throughout his career he served as the primary advisor to executive teams and boards of directors on all HR matters. He holds a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Towson University. He is married and has two fantastic daughters who have taught him all he needed to learn about conflict management and negotiations! He is an advocate for organizational learning and believes that it provides an important competitive advantage for companies.

Philip N. Budd is Co-Founder, CEO and President of ES Holdings, LLC, a company engaged in the design, development and distribution of two web-based software applications in the organizational/ professional development space. The first of these platforms, called "ES OnDemand," is used by domestic and international employers to share, develop, assess and track knowledge of critical concepts, practices, policies, ideas and best practices with their employees. It essentially serves as a knowledge portal or “intranet” available to employees via the Internet. In fulfilling this crucial objective, the ES OnDemand system also serves to reinforce culture, promote productivity and reduce cost and risk in the workplace via multiple online learning capabilities and knowledge process automation tools. The second application, referred to as the "RungJumper" platform, supports and enhances executive coaching activities in individual and group coaching engagements by managing collaborative development of engagement plans between coach and coachee, tracking engagement progress, and promoting/ensuring mutual accountability among participants.

Before acquiring the above company fifteen years ago, Philip was involved in commercial, investment and merchant banking. He earned his M.S. in Finance in 1985 from the LSU Graduate School of Business and completed undergraduate studies with a B.S. in Business (concentration in Accounting) from Centenary College of Louisiana in 1981.

Rod Matheson has over 20 years’ experience leading Training and Organization Development initiatives within the complex healthcare industry. He has a proven record of building effective organization development programs, through helping to align the key stakeholders around agreed upon outcomes and roles. Throughout his career he has worked to recruit and retain talented training and organization development professionals who have a passion for helping improve the skills of team members at every level of the organization. He has also held numerous positions on County workforce services boards, aimed at developing the skills of the many job seekers in the community at any giving time. He holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development from Towson University, and bachelors of commerce degree from the University of Witwatersrand, in South Africa. He is married and has one fantastic daughter, an amazingly patient wife, and two rescue dogs.
