The Tried, the True and the Trendy.

The purpose of this panel is to attract audience members with interests in training and development assessment tools. Often times in this field, we ask ourselves: how can we better assess the communicative and interaction practices within organizations in order to help and support them? One answer may be through using assessment tools. This panel is composed of 6 practitioners offering their knowledge and experiences on their respective assessment tools.

This professional development workshop provides:

  • A basic overview of several training and development assessment tools.
  • Insight about when each one is most useful
  • Insight about when each one would not be useful or less effective.
  • Case studies and outcomes.

The different T&D assessment tools and their advocates are:

  • Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI), presented by Bernadette Costello of Marymount University.
  • Thinking Styles, presented by Christina Eanes of MindSpring Metro DC.
  • DiSC, presented by Betsy Frantz of Leadership Arlington.
  • StrengthsFinders presented by Jonathan Pugh of Golden Key Group.
  • Belbin Team Roles presented by DeeDee Smartt Lynch of Smartt Strategies.
  • Myers-Briggs (MBTI) presented by Deborah Shipley of the British Embassy of Washington

Each panelist will present for about 20 minutes on their respective assessment tool, and there will be for time for a questions and answers session.

Dinner will be provided. If you have specific dietary restrictions, please email admin@dcatd.org

No registrations will be refunded for a cancellation after July 17, 2015.

DCATD is proud to partner with Women In Technology to host this event.
