Are you looking to develop professionally, make a career change, or find a new position? Metro DC ATD’s Career Connections Webinars can help you connect virtually to share ideas, tips, and support. Each session also includes facilitated conversation about a specific career development topic. The topic for July is "Keeping Your Career on Track.”

Where do you see yourself five years from now? It’s important to consider where you want to go on your career journey, whether you’re currently in the job market or not. Mapping out a plan for your professional life will help you stay abreast of changes in your field and identify any tune-ups that might be necessary.

This Webinar will help you to:
  • Recognize what you have to offer employers
  • Clarify your preferred skills and work environment
  • Refine your career aspirations
  • Evaluate your strengths and identify any gaps
  • Develop an action plan

Join Sue Kaiden, author of the June bonus TD at Work, “Keeping Your Career on Track,” as she walks you through tools designed to help you identify your best skills and favored work environment, highlight any gaps, and develop a strategic plan for your career.

Sue is the Manager for Career Development at the Association for Talent Development (formerly ASTD). She has more than 20 years of experience improving performance in the healthcare, IT, and nonprofit sectors, and 10 years of experience as a career coach. In 2003, in response to community need, she founded GetWorks, a job search support group for unemployed and underemployed people in the Greater Philadelphia area. Through this program and her coaching practice, Sue has helped thousands of people find meaningful work

In August 2014, Sue joined ATD to oversee their Career Development Community of Practice which includes managing the ATD job bank. She holds an MBA from Cornell University, a BS in business administration from Miami University, Ohio.  She is also a Six Sigma Black Belt, Myers Briggs (MBTI), and Strong Interest Inventory practitioner.
