Join us to learn the key highlights of ATD’s research on MOOC use in organizational learning, as well as best practices, insights, and examples from leading organizations.

MOOCs are massive, open, online courses. They present opportunities for collaborative learning and enhance access to e-learning. MOOCs have been used in academia, and are now being used by some organizational learning functions. Some topics covered are:

  1. What are some tips and insights from the events and talks ATD has hosted with thought leaders and industry leaders?
  2. Are organizations using MOOCs in learning?
  3. What are some of the challenges in using MOOCs in organizational learning?
  4. What are some best practices for using MOOCs in organizational learning?
  5. What are some tips from learning professionals for those getting started with MOOCs or just exploring the idea of using them in the future.
Maria Ho joined ATD as its research analyst in 2014. She authors research reports and other research products, analyzes data, and develops research plans and quantitative models. She also promotes and presents ATD’s research by blogging, posting on social media, and giving presentations. Maria is especially interested in performance measurement and evaluation and the impact of new technologies on training.

Prior to joining ATD, Maria was a public policy researcher, data analyst, and writer at the Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, D.C.

Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University and a master’s degree in economics from Johns Hopkins University.
