The Three Types of Networkers and a Few Pointers on How to Become the Most Effective One (and Avoid Beating the Other Two)

In this coming together of Free Agents, we will discuss the three types of networkers ("Posers," "Carpetbombers" and "PFPs") and discuss the differences between them.  Our meeting facilitator, Rob Brown, will go over a few pointers on how to become the most effective of the three by teaching the 4 "C's" of networking, the "E-B" Pivot and how to "Define the Maybe."  This meeting will have a heavy focus on technique and strategy when networking, either at cocktails parties, BNI events or engaging in LinkedIn activity.

Rob Brown, a native of the DMV and proud Michigan State University graduate (Class of 1995), attended the University of Iowa College of Law and graduated in 2000.  After passing the bar exam and being sworn-in as a new member of the Bar of the District of Columbia in 2002, he practiced in a variety of areas of law, including securities, personal injury, complex civil litigation and bankruptcy.  He transitioned his career into legal managed review and eDiscovery in 2009.  It was at that time that Rob began a very active presence on the networking scene in DC, Maryland and Virginia.  After a brief stint in the financial services industry, he created ForBookLoversOnly.com 2015 which has evolved from a website for authors and book lovers to an internet television show and radio broadcast.  He is currently writing his first book about effective networking techniques in the social media era.
