In this session, Dave Rudd, CPT, Program Chair of the Potomac Chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) will provide an introduction to Human Performance Technology (HPT). He will cover:

  • Human Performance Technology: Definition and Scope
  • History of Human Performance Technology
  • Performance Improvement/HPT Models
  • Differences between HPT and other methodologies
  • HPT Practitioner Roles
  • Applying HPT in government agencies
Presenter:  Dave Rudd

Dave earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration; a Master’s Degree in Adult Education and Development and a Master’s Degree in Training and Performance Improvement along with a Master’s Certificate in the Phillip’s Return on Investment (ROI) methodology. He is currently enrolled in the EDD in Performance Improvement Leadership Degree program at Capella University. Dave has earned the Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) certification from the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) and the Certified ROI Professional (CRP) certification from the ROI Institute. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 2006 and has worked at numerous government agencies in Training and Development. Currently, he is the Director, Training & Development, Department of Justice, Office of the Inspector General.
