What were your favorite tools and tips from 2018? What talent development challenges will you face in 2019?

Join us as we celebrate our 2018 accomplishments, and look forward to 2019! We invite you to bring our favorite tips and tools from this past year, along with your top talent development challenge for next year, to share with your Metro DC ATD colleagues. Maybe there was a specific book or framework that was a lifesaver this past summer. Or, perhaps next year you'll be facing the daunting task of launching a mentoring program. All experiences and challenges are welcome!

During a participant centered activity, you will have an opportunity to interact, to network, to share your challenges, experiences, and lessons learned—and most importantly, to walk away with some new ideas for the upcoming year!

This activity will be facilitated by our 2019 President-Elect, Mashaal Ahmed, and by our 2019 Vice President for Membership, Mary Lynn Billitteri

After growing up in the United Arab Emirates, Canada, and Texas (arguably its own country), Mashaal Ahmeds career journey brought her to the Washington, DC area where she is now a talent development professional supporting onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance management initiatives. Like many ATD chapter members, Mashaal brings a variety of experiences to her work in learning and development. She draws on her prior background as a market researcher, higher education and career services professional, and owner of a career coaching and resume writing practice. Regardless of her role, she loves drawing potential out of people, strategies out of data, and productivity out of systems.

Mary Lynn Billitteri, CPLP, is an education program leader with twenty years of experience in conference and seminar management. Experienced in professional development, talent management, and public speaking and facilitation, Mary Lynn manages the educational programming development and execution for two annual conferences for the American Physical Therapy Association, the national membership association of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and educators.
