At our July Instructional Design CoP meeting, we will explore the use of Action Learning as a process for thinking through challenges relating to your training evaluation and other challenges. Action Learning is transformational team problem solving tool. Leveraging the power of great questions, Action Learning strives to establish the root causes of challenges and then rapidly develop breakthrough solutions. Teams learn about the presented challenge by posing questions and taking action. It is a simple process with only two ground rules (1) statements can only be made in questions and (2) the Action Learning “coach” intervenes to help the team learn. In addition to problem solving, Action Learning facilitates the development of individual leadership skills and competencies.

For July's meeting, we will briefly cover the basics of Action Learning and then demonstrate the power of Action Learning. We are looking for a participant to present a challenge focusing on a challenge he or she is facing with evaluating organizational learning or another related L&D topic.

Join us to learn about Action Learning and get assistance with the challenges you face.
