Metro DC ATD’s Director of Virtual Programs, Ileana Fernandez, continues the Value-Added Virtual Learning Series with “Extend Virtual Reach with Microlearning” on Wednesday, June 19th at 12:00 noon. Register for “Extend Virtual Reach with Microlearning” and explore microlearning techniques that will boost and extend virtual classroom learning. You will learn how to: • Structure content deep dives • Provide practice opportunities • Create community through peer-to-peer learning • Empower learners to learn their way with Pick-Learning-Path (PLP) activities • Add post-virtual value with mobile content • Connect and communicate for long-term value As a member of Metro DC ATD, Ileana had the opportunity to volunteer and attend the ATD 2019 International Conference and Exposition in DC last month. She will share some of the valuable virtual learning tips she learned at the Conference. Ileana is an Instructional Designer and ed tech guru in the Leadership and Management School of the Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute. Prior to her federal career, Ileana designed and delivered classroom and virtual on-boarding, MS Office, and business applications training at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, a high-profile international law firm. Ileana appreciates the value that Metro DC ATD brings to her career and after years of member benefits, is now paying it forward through her volunteer role and commitment to the professional development of Metro DC ATD’s members.
