How do you respond to the unpredictable? How do you handle stressful situations? Sometimes in life and your career, things don’t go as planned. Resilience helps you thrive despite surprises, stress, and other challenges. In today's world, there is no shortage of reasons for adversity: you might have a toxic boss, you may have been passed over for your dream job, or you're struggling with workplace discrimination. For some, this is an equation for burnout or withdrawal. Resilient people face these types of challenges with motivation, optimism, and creativity.

The good news is that resilience can be cultivated and strengthened. In this session, resilience expert Beth Payne will introduce five key resilience factors developed by the U.S. Department of State to help U.S. diplomats build and maintain their resilience. She will teach practical skills and tools to help you quickly bounce back or even grow from setbacks, trauma, and high stress.

Presenter: Beth Payne
