Social: It's Not Just for Parties Any More

Everyone's touting social media for everything from marketing to learning: is there really any 'there' there? The answer is a resounding YES! Social interaction brings real depth to both formal learning activities and support for important informal learning as well. In this workshop, we will work through both the formal and informal learning benefits, extract frameworks about how to apply social learning systematically to achieve organizational goals, and explore practical tips and tricks to incorporate social learning into our learner interactions. We will look at the various forms of social media and explore the possibilities to seriously impact organizational performance.

Attendees will leave with:
- Ways which social media can augment formal learning
- Necessary components to extract benefit from informal social learning
- Various approaches and their unique benefits
