What should learning and development look like given our current state as a global society? The best answer to this is, it depends. Regardless of your sector or industry, we're all pivoting to ensure that our learners receive what they need during this time as most of us have gone 100% virtual. With just weeks, I, like many of you had to transform a fully in-person leadership development program to a hybrid leadership development program with asynchronous and synchronous learning. This session seeks to share my lessons learned with you using the art of storytelling. I'll divulge my Aha moments and insights from my experience going fully virtual!
Presenters: Yolanda Fraction and Stephanie Hubka
Yolanda Fraction is the host of the L&D Lounge, a podcast show that connects L&D professionals to thought leaders in the field. She has a graduate degree in adult and organizational learning from Northeastern University and seeks to create social and behavioral change, improving on-the-job performance. She uses learning and workforce development as a vehicle to enable adults throughout the globe to become their best selves. Over the past 13 years, she has worked with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations to foster intellectual curiosity, curate meaningful learning experiences and use development as a vehicle to empower people to achieve their greatest potential. She is currently the Director of Training and Development at a global non-profit organization.
Stephanie Hubka wants to live in a world where learning is exciting and inspiring and training is recognized as a natural driver of an organization’s strategy. As the managing partner at Protos Learning, her work focuses on learning strategy, technology, instructional design and training delivery, and evaluation. During her career she has designed, developed, and delivered hundreds of instructor-led and online learning events for global audiences. She is also the co-founder of and travel writer for Road Unraveled, which tackles HR innovation and management through fostering a paid time off culture within organizations. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University's Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Stephanie is a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD). She is a past president of the Metro DC Chapter of ATD as well as the current Vice President of Finance and serves as a National Advisor for Chapters for ATD. Her passion for training is equaled only by her love of exploring the globe; an avid traveler, she has visited all 7 continents, 70 countries, and all 50 US states.
