“I have a training problem!” or is it “I have a performance problem!”? These simple statements have very different meanings, but to some leaders, managers, and clients they may be saying the same thing. In this session, we will discuss the basic concepts of Human Performance Improvement (HPI.) Using the guiding principles from Robert F. Mager “What Every Manager Should Know About Training,” we will breakdown six guidelines every consultant needs to know to sell the concept of improving performance and why it doesn’t always mean training.

Presenter:  KellyAnn Smith

KellyAnn Smith is a passionate Human Performance Improvement (HPI) strategist with an unwavering commitment to educate others on the basic concepts of organizational performance. She was introduced to the concepts of HPI in the early years of her learning and development career while working in banking and financial industry as an instructor and developer. KellyAnn recently accepted a position with General Dynamics Mission Systems as an Advanced Organizational Development Specialist where she is providing consultation to create an enhanced strategic learning plan to coincide with today’s virtual world.

Zoom credentials will be provided in the confirmation and reminder emails.
