Vocal Presence: The Essential Element in Leadership Presence

Vocal presence is a new lens through which coaches can increase their awareness of the important link between voice and presence. It is esssential for leaders to align their message and intention and communicate it vocally in order to be seen as authentic and having integrity. Through experiencing a set of vocal exercises, coaches will learn how to listen to the different qualities of their own and clients' voices and be able to strengthen their leadership presence.

Presenter: Kari Uman

Kari has two passions in her life: singing and coaching. She has spent many years looking for a way to combine these two and has finally discovered a methodology she has adapted to use with leaders called VocalPresence.

The VocalPresence methodology is an essential element of her coaching. It helps leaders align their voice and intention to bring more power and consistency to their message. This methodology works particularly well with women executives to help them cultivate and demonstrate a strong professional presence, create a more positive self-image, and develop successful vocal and physical behaviors and strategies. In addition to using VocalPresence, Kari coaches leaders to improve interpersonal relationship skills, develop political savvy, and influence more effectively. She attended the Georgetown Leadership Coaching Program and is a certified ICF coach.
