This presentation will focus on the effort it takes to create and launch a new T&D project with particular focus on the course development process. This is a workshop that includes breakout rooms and instructor led practice sessions.

  • Define a Course Development Process
  • Discuss how to leverage a Course Development Process for various T&D projects
  • Create a high-level diagram of your Course Development Process
  • Create an ISD Timeline/Schedule for your project

Presenter: Jennifer Hoeritz

As an HRD professional with over 15 years of experience in the learning and development field, Jennifer has found a passion for creating innovative courseware in multiple modalities for adult learners. She has designed courses for face-to-face, hybrid, and online deliveries utilizing multiple approaches to include, the Flipped Classroom, Universal Design for Learning, Social Learning, and Experiential Learning. Jennifer has created over 100 courses for learners that range from undergraduate students to senior level executives. Not only does she enjoy designing courseware, but she loves to streamline instructional design projects by identifying the right mix of project management tools and templates to manage the work and set stakeholder expectations. Her project portfolio includes working with TSYS, First National Bank of Texas, BearingPoint, Deloitte, American University, and University of Maryland. She is currently an Assistant Director for the Office of Transformational Learning at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business.
