New findings about the brain are helping us better understand the behavior of good leaders – their reactions to stressful work situations, how they relate to employees, and how they promote lasting change. Join leadership coach Suzanne Kryder to explore new research about the brain and how it offers practical steps to improve your leadership skills and foster better relationships with your boss, colleagues, and direct reports. Practice a brain-based tool for being less reactive in challenging situations and improving your effectiveness.

Objectives:

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the universal challenge of leading others through the lens of recent findings about the natural negativity of the brain.

2. Explain how neuroplasticity---the brain's ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections---could help leaders influence behavior in themselves and their followers.

3. Practice a brain-based tool that has been shown to enhance creativity, resilience, and behavior change.

Agenda:

7:30 - 8:00 AM: Breakfast/Networking

8:00 - 8:15 AM: Chapter Announcements

8:15 - 9:15 AM: Program
