Only 20% of the people we’ve surveyed have the network they need to accomplish their goals and contribute to the bottom-line. Yet anyone can learn the skills. Your confidence and competence with these skills will help you succeed in the training and development field for years to come.

Lynne will present The 8 Networking Competencies needed by almost everyone, in almost every job type, at almost any level. Whether you’re looking for networking strategies to help you manage your career or you want your trainees and organization to benefit from increased social acumen, this interactive dinner meeting will give you the rules and tools for putting networking to work in the service of business and career goals.  You’ll:

  • Know what to do and say to advance through the 6 stages of trust building
  • Master the 3 key moments in every relationship
  • Remember names - - and teach them yours
  • Answer "What do you do?" in a way that shows your character & competence
  • Steer small talk to uncover resources and opportunities
  • Make the most of memberships, associations, and conferences
  • Handle awkward networking situations
  • Ask good questions to uncover resources and opportunities
  • Teach people how to use your expertise, what to count on you for
  • Know what to do and say in a variety of professional situations
  • Penetrate the "inner circle" in the groups you join
