In this session, panelists Holly Eva, Rana Pouri, and Melinda Babione will discuss common questions on government contracting such as government contracting positions, why government contracting, government contracting processes, how the process of developing training is understood, training and development models such as ADDIE model in government contracting. The panel will also respond to questions such as: what is a rebid? What happens if a different company is awarded the contract? How can I turn that into an opportunity for me? How do I read the government lead? What can I do to be successful on a government contract? Do not miss this interactive session!

Rana D. Pouri has been living that last ten years in Fairfax, Virginia, with her husband. She was a teacher for many years and decided to teach online. Rana graduated from George Mason University in 2014, and since then, has worked with different organizations and companies throughout the years. She is a self-proclaimed workaholic but not a boring person.

Melinda Babione began government contracting in 2005 and has worked for the Department of State, both the Diplomatic Security Training Center and the Foreign Service Institute, the Department of Defense, Financial Student Aid, U.S. Treasury, Customs and Border Protection, Federal Aviation Administration, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Fannie Mae, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services. She managed projects such as the Office of Field Operations 18-week Basic Officer course, Protection Against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse in Humanitarian Settings, to designing the Denver Mint's Career Enrichment Training program and Put patient Therapy Guidelines. She has wrangled Subject Matter Experts and "fixed" projects that other instructional designers were not able to complete.

Holly Eva is currently the Senior Director of Digital Projects at National Retail Federation. Holly has been leading digital teams on education and technology projects with a variety of clients including: Department of Interior, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Amazon Web Services, and Verizon. She graduated from George Washington University with a Masters of Education in Educational Technology and Leadership in 2010.

Holly enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, learning about and identifying plants, gardening, cooking, reading, motorcycling, and hiking.
