This workshop is for workplace learning and performance professionals who either manage the coaching function within their organization or provide training for those who coach. The program teaches how to align coaching with organizational goals and specific needs and abilities of each employee. Included are the various activities conducted by coaches, training session content, training delivery, individual session prep, and more. The learner will learn the 13 competencies required for successful coaching.

At the end of the program, participants will be able to:· 
  • Describe the coaching relationship and explain why coaching is important
  • Assess the learning needs of coach
  • Describe 3 issues coaches often encounter, and list at least one way to resolve each of them
  • Assess the coaching needs of the employee, be they training or behavior changes
  • Prepare for coaching sessions for various situations
  • Design a training for coaches
  • Understand and affirm employees' “self” and organizational role
  • Set Goals for Success
  • Build success attitudes and habits
  • Turn solutions into action
  • Manage time
  • Communicate more clearly 
About The Facilitator
Coaching is one of the key services of the Nordlinger Consulting Group. Lorraine Nordlinger has conducted coaching sessions for individuals, as well as groups including one at the Arlington Employment Center. As the National Sales Training Manager of the American Red Cross Biomedical Services National headquarters, she was certified in the Integrity Selling System, which includes an 8 week follow up coaching session. Lorraine personally conducts coaching sessions with individual and organizational sponsors. Special guest, William Porter, Captain, US Navy (retired), President of Global Shift LLC) will be on hand to give detailed examples of how the US Navy (and others) achieve improved results with coaching.
