Presenter: Dr. Amara Emuwa
Amara Emuwa, PhD, is an Executive Leadership Coach with global HR leadership experience. She is a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and author of “The Truth Behind Excuses: Underperformance Explained”. Dr. Amara Emuwa supports C-Suite leaders and executives to own their strengths to accelerate performance, and coaches mid-level managers and high-potential employees to develop the mindset, skills, and relationships to move into higher-level leadership roles.
Dr. Emuwa has a background as a senior HR executive of a Fortune 500 company and has worked with corporate leaders, executives, and multicultural teams and organizations in Africa, North America, and Europe.
Dr. Emuwa has conducted extensive research studies on Authentic Leadership Model and leadership effectiveness across cultures, published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at various conferences.
Dr Emuwa has delivered keynote to organizational retreats and events and has been a guest at several podcast interviews. She speaks on the pitfalls of excuse-making and leading from the core of excellence – how authentic leaders lead from a place of strength and purpose.
As part of her community building efforts, Dr. Emuwa coaches and mentors incarcerated women to rebuild and relaunch their dreams.
