Research has shown that building a strong community within an organization can improve engagement, morale, learning, and creativity and innovation, resulting in better organizational performance. So, how can leaders build strong communities? Our panel of community leaders, representing the schools, health and safety, and local government, will help to answer that question. They’ll discuss their unique strategies for building community in the face of significant challenges, such as conflicted factions, indifference and apathy, dwindling resources, and tight budgets. Panelists will also answer your questions about leadership, leadership development, and building communities.

Panelists:

  • Dr. Ginger Minshew, Principal, Park View High School, Sterling, VA
  • Brenda Sheridan, Sterling District School Board Member
  • Chief Kevin McGee, Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue
  • Evenly Garcia-Morales, Manager of Educational Enrichment Programs at Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute
